Background:
Eric Summers is a fellow student of Clark's during Freshman Year. His verbally abusive father is a geology teacher at Smallville High. Eric has a crush on a blonde girl named Holly.

A freak lightning strike involving green meteor rock transfers Clark's powers to Eric, who openly displays and eventually abuses the powers before Clark maneuvers a transfer back by the same method.

Eric appears again in the S3 episode, "Asylum," as an inmate at Belle Reve asylum. He teams up with Van McNulty and Ian Randall to subdue Clark when he comes to rescue Lex. He engineers the transfer of powers back again with the help of green Kryptonite and enjoys them for a short time before Clark is able to transfer them back.
