Background:

Heike is Lex's fencing instructor or sparring partner. So far, she has had no lines, and is always wearing white fencing garb. She typically reveals herself by pulling off her fencing helmet and shaking free her blonde mane of hair. The name could possibly have been in homage to Heike Brandstatter, SV casting director in Vancouver?

In the Pilot, according to Lex, she "kicks (Lex's) ass" at fencing, frustrating him to the extent that he hurls his foil across the room, narrowly missing Clark on his first visit to the mansion. This is the only time she is referred to by name. In "Unsafe," he gives her a farewell kiss and whispers, "I'll see you upstairs", an indication that they share more than a student-instructor relationship. In "Onyx", as Lex's bad side, he just gives her a smack on the butt as she walks away from him.
